CONGRATULATIONS TO The Mico University College on celebrating 185 years of existence.

Benjamin Franklin once said, "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”, and that is exactly what we strive to do here at the university college. The importance of education is not lost on The Mico, especially in a time where the learning sector is being severely impacted by the current pandemic. Therefore, to see the response of the college during this period full of uncertainties, I was and am proud of The Mico. The college pivoted from face to face to online modality quickly; the challenges faced were handled in a timely manner and students were able to continue their academic journey. What better way to celebrate 185 years!

Life is not without its challenges, and that applies to our institution. However, under the leadership of our past and present chancellors, board of directors, trustees, president and vice-presidents, we will continue to withstand the test of time.

It has been an arduous yet successful and rewarding journey. With commitment to our mission state ment, I am certain The Mico will celebrate another 185 years. Our task was and is never easy. However, seeing completion in the form of our graduates continues to personify excellence. Let us do it with our might.

For 185 years, The Mico has produced esteemed alumni who continue to make a meaningful impact locally and internationally. This is quite a milestone. As the pro-chancellor, I have been given direct opportunity to see the hard work of the academic, administrative and ancillary staff. Their daily commitment to the tasks that arise largely contributes to the success of The Mico.

To our students, you are a part of the reason why our anniversary year is very special. Your excellence and resilience embodies our core values: Leadership, Service to Others, Integrity and Excellence in Performance.
